Manufacture of the original model started in 1975, this E60 f/1.0 version is from relatively early in the lenses production and dates from around 1978.
The lens was later fully serviced in Germany and then 6BIT coded, making it fully compatible with current cameras like the M10 and SL Typ601 (when used with the M-Adapter L)
