Near pristine 1956' Leica M3 in chrome with many early, desirable features including the locking style film back, buddha ear strap lugs and the glass pressure plate; this example is in superb condition with the only noticeable bit of cosmetic wear being at the top of the film door.
The camera still retains its original 'L' seal, though the body does need a service, we have decided to keep the seal intact, leaving the decision to the new owner.
Mechanically the camera runs fine above 1/10th of a second but sticks at anything below, the self timer works, the rangefinder is well aligned, but the finder itself will need to be cleaned, the wind on is smooth and is an early 'dual stroke'.
Camera comes with a near perfect, period correct 1954 f3.5 Elmar, mechanically excellent and fully working, focus is smooth, aperture blades are clean and the glass is clean with only minimal dust commensurate with age.
Camera body comes boxed.
