O-Series 'Prototype 2' Oscar Barnack 1879-2004 Edition, Boxed.
In 2004, Leica produced a limited edition replica of the Leica O Series 'Prototype 2', to mark the 125th birthday of Oscar Barnack.
Similar to the replica produced in the year 2000 but with an optical viewfinder rather than the hinged glass frame finder and swing-up front sight. The back of the camera carried a small plate engraved with the image and signature of Oscar Barnack himself.
Supplied in a box set with a DVD showing Barnacks early movies and a booklet from the German Film Institute.
Camera is in good working order, body operates differently than a standard screw camera but all necessary information in supplied in the accompanying instruction manual. Cosmetically very clean with very slight wear to the baseplate. Anastigmat has some minor dust present.
Comes with internal red box, external box and slip cover, DVD, instructions, Barnack film institute book, warranty card, leather case and cardboard film template.
