One of the most mythologised lenses ever made for the M system camera because of its scarcity, ascribed image properties and the very elaborate production technique of the two, hand ground, aspherical lens elements. Such precision meant expertise and labour was of the upmost importance, each surface had to be perfect, leading to a lot of discarded glass. In its 9 years of production, from 1966 to 1975, only 1,500 were made.
In top condition, the barrel has some minor wear with little paint loss the lettering but overall cosmetically excellent. Mechanically in full working order with smooth focus and clean, working, well clicked aperture. Glass is free from haze and fungus, lens does have a small optical mark on the inner side of the rear element.
