The original Hektor, Leicas first really wide angle lens. A huge milestone in lens design given the incredibly limited means in which to design and manufacture such a wide angle lens, production ran from 1935 to 1953 when the lens was replaced by the slightly faster and better performing 5.6 Summaron in 1955.
A fine example in excellent cosmetic condition with some slight wear to the focus tab, filter ring and focusing mount. Lens is in full working order with working aperture and good focus, lens optics are good but do have some haze.
